I am one of those happy few who wakes up every Monday to Friday and gets ready to head to work whistling a jaunty little tune. Now, don't get me wrong, if its cold out or if I had a late night, sometimes it is hard to get out of bed. But I can honestly say that I don't suffer from the agony of not wanting to go to work. Ever.

I think it is because I like my job. Truly, I do. I like the people I work with, I like my little office where I drink my tea and listen to my radio. I like marketing. I like selling what I sell. I like talking to my customers.

Most of this is because I like the products I sell. I believe in them. I believe that if I convince you to use on of our liquid solar pool covers and I helping to make the world a better place.

I'm not stopping world hunger, curing cancer, or saving the whales, perhaps. But I am doing my part for the environment. Our products are biodegradable, They save energy and water. They also stop people from purchasing vast quantities of plastic (bubble blankets) which is going to eventually end up in a land fill somewhere.

In addition to that, I know I am helping to make my customers happy because they no longer have to fight with plastic pool blankets day in and day out. They can swim in warmer water. Their risk of heart attack from opening their energy bill is decreased. They are happier. So I am happier.

So you see, my happiness in life is directly influenced by the happiness of my customers. To me, I would find it safe to say that there is a lot riding on your success. Your happiness and mine. And the health of the environment.

So, I want to help you understand what success can mean if you choose a liquid solar pool cover. Or perhaps you already have, and you just don't know what “success” translates into. So hear is a little break down of what you can expect to see:

If you heat your pool:
Heatsavr and Ecosavr have been tested and proven to cut back 15 -40% of the cost of heating a pool. If you operate a commercial pool and the heat source is specific to your pool, you should be able to see these results by looking at your energy bill. However, in many many cases the energy usage for heating your swimming pool, residential or commercial, is combined with the heating of water and air for the rest of your home or facility. If this is the case for you, you will probably notice a drop in costs, but it will be more difficult to calculate the exact percentage that your pool heating has decreased by. I recommend, in this case, that you trust the tests of others who have come before you. You can read a variety of testimonials and test results from Heatsavr users across North America on our website for further proof.

If you don't heat your pool:
If you don't heat your pool, you should expect to see a drop in your overnight heat loss. Studies have shown an average reduction of 50%. If your days are warm and your nights are not, you can loss a lot of temperature in just a few hours. For example, I had a customer mention to me the other day that they have been using Ecosavr for a few years, and they happened to run out. After a few days of not having Ecosavr in their pool, they realized they were losing almost 10 degrees each night! So they quickly went out to replace their Ecosavr and within a few days were only losing 5 degrees each night. 5 degrees can make quite an impression when you go out for your early morning swim!

If you want to save water:
A recent study testing liquid pool covers showed that approximately 50% of water lost through evaporation can be retained by using Heatsavr. That is quite significant. Do you know how often you re-fill your pool when you are not using a pool cover? That can be cut in half by using Heatsavr or Ecosavr. This is a great way to cut back on your work load AND your water costs!

I hope this helps you understand what you stand to gain from using a liquid pool cover. The results speak for themselves, in most cases. And because my happiness is riding on your success, I would love to hear your success stories. If you would be willing to share your liquid pool cover results with readers like you, please email me your story: <A HREF="mailto:monique@flexiblesolutions.com?subject=Success Story for your Blog!"

If you own or operate a pool, I know you know that it costs somewhere between a small and large fortune to keep it heated. Would you like to challenge your energy bill?

If you are interested in making a change in your energy bill, than you have come to the right place. I am about to share with you the secret to shaving up to 40% off the costs of heating your pool. The best part is, it's easy!

It's Heatsavr, the liquid solar pool cover. Or, for all your residential pool owners out there, it could be Ecosavr, the liquid solar pool cover fish.

This one product alone has been know to save up to 40% of the costs of heating swimming pools. If you combine this with the wonders of solar panels, heat pumps, and efficient equipment, your costs will hit rock bottom.

Another great thing about Heatsavr is that it very cost efficient as well. I am sure that as soon as you heard the words “solar panels” you immediately saw dollar signs circling your wallet. Heatsavr (and / or Ecosavr) typically pay for themselves within 3-6 months. For most pools, this is the equivalent of about $0.50-$0.75 a day. Is that worth up to 40% off your energy bill?

But don't take my word for it. Check out some of customer testimonials that tell the very same story. I recommend taking a minute to read Hotel Valencia's extreme success results.

Today, I would like to share a story with you. Because results don't lie. And results straight from people using the product, folks just like you, are even more fun to read. Because they're real.

So, I would like to share the story of J.W., a property Manager in Southern California. He cares for a 1200 square foot Infinity Edge pool that is heated to 80 degrees year round. Year round. Did you get that? Sure, in the summer of Southern California that may not take much, but in the winter? It still get's cold there! In fact, he reports using 3,685 therms at $1.49 a therm from January through March, 2008. Doing the math, here, that works out to a whopping $5,490.65 US Dollars spent on heating a pool for 3 months.

Want the good news? J.W. tried Heatsavr this year, and for the exact same 3 month period he used on 2,929 therms. That is 756 therms less than the previous year and, had the gas rate stayed the same it would translate into a savings of $1,126.44. Nice, hey? As it turns out, he was lucky enough to benefit from a lower gas rate as well, but regardless a savings of 20.5% in gas usage is nothing to sneeze at.

Now, being that he has an infinity edge pool, he also imparted some fantastic words of wisdom for making his scenic water feature as environmentally accountable as possible. In addition to using Heatsavr to save heat, water and energy, J.W. has programmed his spillover edge to operate automatically only twice a day for around an hour, in addition to any manual activation that may be required. Many people and facilities with infinity edge pools operate their spillover edge at all times. This is an extreme drain on your resources! If no-one is around to enjoy the sight, than your pump is running unnecessarily wasting energy all the while. Not to mention the increase evaporation that occurs with any water feature like that. Increased evaporation means more water used and more heat lost, thereby requiring more energy to keep the water up to temp. If you have an infinity edge pool, I urge you to follow J.W.'s example and put limits on your spill over edge.

J.W.'s final words to us were as follows: “The whole reason I did the exercise was to determine if the purchase of more product was economically justifiable. It evidently is, both in money saved and from a “green” point of view.”

You are welcome to read the story in his very own words, it is available here: Southern California Infinity Edge Testimonial.

For some of us, the end of October means preparing for snow. For some, it means an anxiously awaited cool down from 100 + temperatures. Whatever it means to you, it almost certainly means cooler evenings and mornings and the potential for pool water that is just too nippy to swim in.

It is around this time of year that pools that are not currently fit with a pool cover begin to think about getting one, and cringing at the added labor, expense and frustrations that this involves. How about trying a liquid pool cover instead? You won't even know it's on your pool...aside from the fact that your water will be warmer in the evenings and mornings, your energy bills will be easier to handle and you won't have to top up your pool quite as often.

But you don't have to take my word for it, you can read a customer testimonial instead.

Coastal Realty & Property Management
St. Augustine, FL

Thank you for inventing the HeatSavr liquid pool cover.
A question that comes through to me on a fairly regular basis is whether or not Heatsavr can be used in spas and hot tubs. The answer is yes, but...

Yes, Heatsavr can be used in spas and hot tubs BUT we do recommend an increased dosage due to the higher temperatures and water turbulence. For swimming pools, the dosage rate for Heatsavr is 1 ounce per 400 square feet each day. For a spa, I would increase that dose to 1 ounce each day for every 50 square feet.

Yes, Heatsavr can be used in spas and hot tubs BUT it cannot compete against the hard-top covers that are almost a foot thick and specially designed for spas. If you have a backyard hot tub that you open for half an hour each night to soak and relax and then you cover it back up with the hard-top that was sold to you with the spa, then I would strongly recommend continuing with this routine. However, if you operate an aquatics facility that happens to have a spa that is open 10-12 hours a day or is never covered at all, then YES Heatsavr can do wonders for you.

Heatsavr is a fantastic product that will save you in hard labor and stressful energy bills, but it must be used in the proper circumstances. It will not create miracles.

So, to sum up, Heatsavr most certainly can be used in spas and hot tubs that are not or cannot use the specially manufactured hard-top covers designed for spas, though and increased dosage of the product is essential to receive optimal results.

You may or may not know that there are a few companies out there who manufacture liquid solar pool covers. Do you want to know why I think you should choose our liquid pool cover over our competition's products? Well, I'll share a few thoughts with you.

The first question we always get when people are looking into using a liquid pool cover is about safety. We answer with more than 15 years of proven tests, which include not only professional toxicology reports but customer testimonials as well. We will offer you MSDS and more proof than most people can handle.

If you ask our competitor's, do you know how they answer? “Sure, it's safe.” Or something to that extent. You can look for yourself; try to find documented proof that their products are safe. But don't be fooled, if you find a safety report on a liquid pool cover, check just which product it is for. Chances are, even if you were sent there by another company, it will be our products that are referenced in the report. (By the way, we manufacture Heatsavr and Ecosavr). Our products are patent protected, which means that no one else can make what we make. So even if some other company says that it is the same, it isn't. And if you are concerned with safety, you should make sure that you are getting the product that shows the proof.

The next question we always get is “does it really work?” Well, my answer to this one is very similar to the first. Yes, our product is effective and I can prove it. I have over 15 years worth of studies, effectiveness tests and, again, customer testimonials that prove it is true, so you don't have to just take my word for it.

What do our competitor's say? That it works.

It is our philosophy that you should never have to take our word for anything. Why should you believe us? We understand that manufacturers will often do whatever it takes to get a sale, whether it means telling the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth...or not. That is why we offer you our years of experience, thoroughly backed by years of outside studies and proven results.

We are a different kind of company. And because of that, we get a different kind of response. A good kind of response. A loyal kind of response.

So, summer is coming to an end and your swimming season is looking like a memory. Your pool water just isn't staying warm like it used to. But what if the heat could go on?

Liquid solar pool covers were developed in order to keep swimming pool water warmer for a longer period of time. How, you wonder? Simply by lowering the rate of evaporation. In other words, as the air temperature gets cooler, the heat from your pool quickly evaporates and cools down. About 75% of your heat is lost by evaporating into thin air. If you have something covering your pool keeping that evaporation from escaping, you are also retaining heat.

I'm not going to lie to you, you can cover you pool with just about anything solid and lower evaporation. Plastic pool blankets, safety covers and automatic pool covers work on the same principle. It has even been speculated that plastic wrap would do the trick. The question is, though, do any of these options work for you?

There are simply too many safety issues to even consider the plastic wrap, so please don't try that one at home.

Traditional pool blankets are great solutions for many people, but they come with limitations. First of all, they have to actually be on your pool and fit it to work properly. And those suckers can be heavy! Unless they are safety covers, they could pose entrapment issues. Some of them are quite expensive. If you have water features or a uniquely shaped pool, it may be difficult to find a cover to fit, unless you get it custom fitted (read: premium price tag). And, let's be honest, they are not always that attractive.

Apply a liquid cover is as easy as 1 (snip the fin, toss it in, Ecosavr), 2 (toss in an ounce of liquid a day, Heatsavr), 3 (install a pump ONCE and have it do all the work for you). They will not keep items from falling in a pool—anything ranging from leaves to frogs to human beings will break through the liquid layer—but they also don't pose any entrapment issues. They fit any size or shape of pool and work both indoors and out. They are inexpensive. They allow the natural beauty of your pool and backyard to shine through!

One fantastic additional perk: they are biodegradable and environmentally friendly.

So, if you would like the heat to go on in your pool, try a pool cover and make it a liquid.

Better yet, you want to know that they have been tested and proven to do exactly what they laims to do and, preferably, be the best option for the price point. Right?

Well, that is how I like to shop. Granted, it is not always that easy to find out that what you are looking for is tried and true. Not to mention, I am less likely to spend a great deal of time searching for efficiency results for a light bulb than I am if I am looking to buy a new car.

Where do liquid pool covers fit in then? Well, considering they are no where near as expensive as a new car, you probably won't spend weeks researching the differences between brands, makes, and alternatives.

But, if you are looking into purchasing a full-time, permanent, fully automated solution, you are still going to be spending a few dollars, and you want to get the most for your money. I have decided to make it easy for you, and give you the means to find your answers.

If you want to know if liquid pool covers are efficient, check these out:

Professional Pool Operators of America
Hotel Valencia
Infinity Edge Pool

If you want to ensure the safety of your family, read these reports:

Toxicology Report
Prism Centre
Cantrell Center

(If Therapy Center's across North America are using the product in the pools where they have disabled and injured swimmers, I would suggest that is a safe to assume it is harmless).

If you want to know liquid pool covers really are as easy as they claim, watch the videos.

If you want to know if you are getting the right liquid pool cover, just try to find another company that offers you these proven results.
One of the questions I get quite often is in regards to the efficiency of a liquid solar pool cover when there is movement in the water. This question comes in many forms:

“I have a pool vacuum...”

“What if my pump and filter system stay on...”

“I have a chlorine shark that swims around all the time...”

“I swim in my pool...”

“My kids leave pool noodles in the water...”

I'm sure you get the picture. Well, the simple answer is yes, these things will affect the liquid cover, BUT to such a minimal degree that you probably will not notice the slightest difference.

Basically, how the liquid cover works is by spreading a very thin layer over your pool water, which you will not see, smell, taste or feel and which is completely safe. When there is any movement in the water, be it a swimmer, a chlorine shark or a pool noodle, the product will move away slightly, and form itself around the item in the water. If the item is moving, the product will continually re-form itself behind the movement. As such, the product will still be working for you even if your pool jets are continuously running.

That's one of the nicest things about a liquid blanket—they are always protecting your pool from heat loss, even when you're in it, whereas a plastic or bubble pool blanket is only effective when your pool is closed and unavailable to you.

I hope this helps, but feel free to send me an email if you would like a more scientific explanation.

On occasion, I get customers who are unhappy with the results they have seen using our Ecosavr liquid pool cover. As you can imagine I hate to hear these sentiments and I immediately have a burning desire to know exactly WHY? So, I begin asking questions...

I like to start easy:

What were you expecting the results of using Ecosavr to be?

Unfortunately, not many people know how to respond to this. So I try to help them out...

Well, if you don't heat your pool, Ecosavr will help you save about 50% of your overnight heat loss. Which means if you were dropping in temperature from 80 degrees to 70 degrees before you started using Ecosavr, after a few days with the liquid pool cover you should only be dropping to about 75 degrees. In the morning, a higher starting temperature will encourage your pool water to reach warmer temperatures throughout the afternoon. You should realize a gradual heat gain throughout the first few weeks of using the product. Does this sound like what you were expecting?

At this point most people will agree with me and realize that their Ecosavr is working wonders for them, they just hadn't been quite sure of what to expect in the first place. Some of them also simply don't know how to use Ecosavr, which is easily remedied as well.

Pools lose most of their heat through evaporation. About 75-80% of their heat, in fact. Evaporation will occur regardless of whether the pool is warmer, colder or the exact same temperature as the air. This is due to variables such as humidity, air movement and water movement.

However, adding a liquid pool cover like Ecosavr or Heatsavr to your water will help lower this evaporative loss. As I mentioned, liquid solar pool covers have the ability to save about 50% of overnight heat loss.

50% is quite impressive, but it doesn't measure up to the expectations of a few folks out there who want a miracle cure for their pool water that will actually help raise the temperature above the air temperature without using a heater. If your daily air temperature is 80 degrees, and your overnight temperature is 60 degrees, there is very little chance that your pool water will remain at 80 degrees if you do not heat it.

Thankfully, there are ways to help boost your pool water warmth, in addition to using a pool blanket.

You can create a wind barrier and turn off any water features that may be increasing the disturbance of the pools surface water, as this type of movement increases evaporation and, therefore, heat loss.

You can use a dark pool liner rather than a light one, as a darkly line pool will attract warmth and, if you are using a liquid pool cover, that extra solar gain will be largely trapped in your water.
You can refill your water with water from a collected water source that is closer to air temperature than the water from your hose will be.

All of these ideas will help, but a pool cover is undoubtedly the best way to retain the heat in your pool. You can use a plastic pool blanket for great overnight coverage, or a liquid solar pool cover for 24 hour protection, they each have their benefits.

All pool owners know that keeping a pool warm can sometimes be quite the feat.

Pool covers are one way to keep the heat in the pool, instead of evaporating into thin air—literally!

Remember when your mother always used to tell you to “close the door, we aren't paying to heat the outside!” Well, a good pool cover is a swimming pools equivalent to that door.

Most people are familiar with plastic or bubble blankets for pools. These can either be automatic or manual and they work by applying a layer of plastic to your pool that will insulate it.

About 75-80% of all the heat lost from your pool water is through evaporation, so by keeping this in your pool you keep it warmer for a longer period of time, which is exactly what using a pool blanket will accomplish.

A good plastic pool blanket can typically protect against about 75% of this evaporative heat loss.
Now that liquid pool covers are all the rage, people are continuously asking what is the comparison value between a plastic blanket and a liquid blanket.

Well...

In comparison to a plastic blanket, liquid pool covers are typically about 75% as effective. 75% is apparently a good number. Easy to remember!

However, some things that you need to keep in mind include:

your pool is inaccessible when covered with a plastic blanket,

whereas you will be able to swim while a liquid cover is continuing to protect

your pool your bubble blanket will only work when it is covering the pool,

while a liquid cover will work for you 24/7

you will have to remove and apply your plastic cover whenever you want to use your pool and after you have finished,

though a liquid cover is an automatic application you only have to think about on average once a month

Studies have shown that Ecosavr / Heatsavr can retain about 50% of overnight heat loss, which is going to be your largest point of evaporation. This will provide you with a higher starting temperature each morning, allowing your pool to get warmer each day. You should see a gradual heat gain after about 2-3 days of using the product.

During the day you are still losing heat through evaporation so our product will help retain that heat as well.

The Professional Pool Operators of America actually did a study comparing the overnight heat loss statistics when using a plastic blanket, a liquid solar pool cover, and no cover at all. You will find the results absolutely stimulating, I am certain.

So now you know. 75% of heat from your pool is lost through evaporation, plastic pool blankets can save about 75% of them when they are covering your pool, and liquid pool covers are about 75% as effective as plastic pool blankets 100% of the time.

Good luck and have fun swimming!

I got an email today asking so many questions that I thought it would be a great idea for a blog post, as it will probably answer most, if not all, of your questions about Ecosavr / Heatsavr too!

This particular pool owner lives in New York, which means that, sadly, they need to carefully retain the heat in their pool as it does not get and stay warm all summer long.

They happen to have an above ground 15' pool and no heater.

PERFECT opportunity for a liquid pool cover!

However...they have also bought a plastic pool cover. Can they both be used?

Absolutely! Liquid Pool Covers, as fantastic as they are, are only about 75% as effective as a plastic pool blanket when they are covering the pool.

This last caveat is important due to one big difference: Plastic pool covers are often only on the pool overnight. Liquid pool covers are on the pool 24/7. This means that overnight heat loss is decreased by both plastic and liquid blankets, but morning / afternoon / evening heat loss are typically only decreased by a liquid pool cover. This small difference could mean the difference of 1 degree...or it may mean the difference of 5 degrees.

But can they both be used, is the question? Yes, they certainly can. Many people do use both in conjunction with each other, although the majority of liquid pool cover users quickly decide that using Ecosavr or Heatsavr alone is a better option than hauling a plastic pool cover on each night and off each morning. Ultimately, the decision is yours. Ecosavr / Heatsavr will not affect your pool cover, and you will get the added benefit of retaining heat throughout the day.

Second question: “Your safety warning says not to get in eyes or drink. My 6 year old son will easily get the pool water in his eyes and, will upon occasion, drink the water.”

Answer: The safety warning is only in its concentrated form. Even if your pool is smaller than the recommended 400 sq. ft., the product will be diluted well, well, past the point where even mild irritation will occur.

Actually, the reason for that safety label is because of the Isopropyl Alcohol content, which actually evaporates off your pool's water within about 15 minutes. Isopropyl Alcohol is essentially rubbing alcohol, which you probably have in your bathroom right now anyways. You don't want your children drinking it straight out of the bottle (or in this case, the Ecosavr) but when used as recommended, it certainly has its benefits! The active ingredient that remains on your pool's surface is completely and totally harmless.

The final question is simply whether our product can or cannot be used with a salt water generator and the simple answer is yes. There will be no effect on either your salt generator or our product.

I hope this helped, and that you enjoyed it!

Happy Swimming!
Monique

For all you liquid pool cover newbies out there, I thought I should take a quick few sentences to let you know what the heck I mean when I talk about Ecosavr versus Heatsavr.

As you have learned from my previous posts, Heatsavr is the liquid pool cover itself. Heatsavr is the chemical product you add to your pool's water.

Ecosavr is also known as the original liquid solar pool cover, "so what gives", you ask? Well, Ecosavr is a little red and yellow plastic fish (absolutely adorable!) that is filled with the blue liquid that is Heatsavr. In the top (dorsal) fin, there is a tiny little patented valve which allows the liquid inside to slowly seep into your pool water.

Ecosavr is best for residential pools and one "fish" will last for approximately 1 month. It will take you about...oh...20 seconds to get it ready and plop it in your pool, and your water will warm up a whole lot quicker. Doesn't that sound nice?

Heatsavr, on the other hand is available in 1 gallon or 1 liter containers and the liquid can be applied manually or, preferably, with an automatic metering system (aka HS115 pump). This option works great for commercial facilities but it is also available and highly recommended for residential pools.

Till we meet again!

Monique

One of the questions that I receive here, with astonishing frequency, is something to the effect of:

"My dog / baby / grandchild drinks the pool water as they swim...is Ecosavr / Heatsavr safe for them?"

The easy, simple, two word answer is: Of Course!. Nothing due to using a liquid pool cover will harm, or even be noticeable, to your loved ones if swallowed when in the pool water.

The more convoluted, technical answer is: when used as recommended, there is nothing in Heatsavr (or, therefore, Ecosavr) that will harm ANYONE or ANYTHING that drinks the pool water. The fact is the active ingredient in the product, the part that does all the work saving energy and water and heat in your pool, that ingredient is most commonly used in the cosmetics industry. Which means that you are almost guaranteed to already be using it in your everyday life. Lotions, lipsticks, shampoos, conditioners, soaps...they may all use have this ingredient in common.

In over 15 years Flexible Solutions has never, I'll say that again, NEVER EVER, had a health complaint. Not in regards to a baby, a puppy, or a rubber ducky. No health concerns at all.

Imagine this: the recommended dosage rate is 1 ounce for every 400 square feet of surface area. That translates into 1 ounce of Heatsavr for every 15,000 gallons of water. Tiny little bit of product... lots and lots of water.

In summary, Heatsavr is indeed safe for all members of your family, including the beloved furry, four-legged ones!

If you want more proof, Flexible Solutions does have safety tests, which you can view by clicking here.

Another really important concept about a liquid pool cover: there are no entrapment issues. If you dog decides to go for a swim, there is NO CHANCE that he will become entangled by a plastic pool cover. If your husband loses his way at night, he will get wet, but he will not get trapped. This is a very important issue to consider when installing a pool cover. Liquid Covers are obviously the smartest choice, right?

If you need anything else, ask! Send me an email! My blogs will often coincide with questions from my various readers and customers, so keep reading! There are some other posts that will help you with your Liquid Pool Cover questions, as well.

So, you have made the jump and purchased an Ecosavr and, for whatever reason you may have, you want more information on just how to use it before you plop it into your pool. Well, just to let you know, the instructions are on the back of the fish. But, I am going to break it down for you in a fool-proof step-by-step procedure right here.

1) Hold the Ecosavr so that the back is facing you with the dorsal fin (top fin) facing the sky.

2) Snip the fin on or just below the dotted line

3) Find the air bubble (the part that looks like it is moving inside the fish) and make sure it is right beneath the fin. Squeeze firmly on the fish until the air bubble is slowly released through the valve.

4) Drop it in your pool and watch is sink to the bottom.

IF your Ecosavr doesn't sink, you didn't get the whole air bubble out. You can cut a bit further down on the fin if you would like to make it easier on yourself (find the words "from" and "eyes" on the fin and cut between the two). Also, make sure that the air bubble didn't sneak over into the tail.

If you would like to watch a video, here is a great one: How to Use Ecosavr (yes, those are my hands and that is my voice!), or just look below.

Keep watching for more valuable lessons from the Liquid Pool Cover Expert, Monique Nelson (me!)

When your done, you can move on to...

3 easy ways to get started:

Snip the fin and toss it in. Ecosavr is a small red fish that you can purchase at most pool supply stores. It is filled with the liquid solar pool cover and slowly releases it into your pool over about a months time. So, you just purchase it, toss it in your pool, and relax. For a month. With your pool covered the whole time.

Try out Heatsavr in 1L bottles with an easy to use hand pump. This is just like a bathroom soap dispenser: you just press the pump a couple of times over your pool in the evening and sleep easy knowing your pool is NOT losing heat like a cup of hot coffee in your refrigerator
Install a pump to do all the work for you.

Better yet, have your pool guy install the pump to do all the work for you. The easiest solution, you will have to change a jug of Heatsavr, oh...once a season-ish.

Were you really considering getting a plastic pool cover? I hope you change your mind quickly.
You are going to want to ask for Heatsavr and / or Ecosavr by name, from Flexible Solutions, as these are the ONLY tested and proven liquid pool covers on the market. They have been imitated often, but never duplicated.

All pool owners should be covering their pool with a cover, and I am here to suggest that cover should be a liquid cover. Here are 5 reasons why:

1. Liquid Pool Covers do not require you to pull off a wet and dirty, heavy plastic pool blanket every time you want to use your pool, and they also do not require you to put that same heavy plastic pool blanket back on your pool once you are done.

2. Liquid Pool Covers automatically cover your pool, without any work from you AND they work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, even while the pool is in use.

3. Liquid Pool Covers have been known to save up to 40% of energy costs on a pool or, in unheated pools, prevent 50% of overnight heat loss.

4. Liquid Pool Covers are inexpensive, especially when compared to custom fitting a plastic pool blanket.

5. Liquid Pool Covers are biodegradable and environmentally friendly

Obviously, if you are a pool owner, you are now kicking yourself for not using a liquid pool cover sooner. So get busy and get one!

Considering you found this blog, you probably have some interest in learning about liquid solar pool covers. If not, you may have very questionable 'googling' skills, but continue reading anyways, because you just might find the idea of liquid solar pool cover technology fascinating and awe-inspiring. I know I do!

Anyhow, assuming you have some interest in such as thing as a liquid cover for your pool, this blog will help you get familiar with all the basic benefits and features of the original product, Heatsavr.

The Heatsavr liquid is simply a chemical added to your pool's water that floats on the surface, creating a barrier that helps to slow down evaporation. Evaporative loss accounts for about 70% of heat loss, so, by slowing this down, you will keep the water in your pool warmer for a longer period of time.

You will not smell, see, feel or taste the product once it has been added to your pool water, but you should probably not drink the liquid out of the bottle. You wouldn't drink the chlorine either, would you?

Thousands of people across the world are using this product and if you own a pool and you don't have a liquid pool cover, you are falling drastically behind the times.

Flexible Solutions is the original manufacturer of liquid solar pool covers, and they offer the product under the brand names of Ecosavr and Heatsavr. Both of these products are available pretty much across the globe and are sold in most large pool supply stores.

In other news, let's talk about the "green" factor. Each and every store that you go into there are thousands of products bombarding you about their "green" qualities. You know that more often than not it is pure and simple marketing drivel. It's called "green-washing" and it makes most of us wary of any one or any thing that claims to be green.

When it comes to liquid solar pool covers, fear not. They really are good for the environment. Not only is the product itself biodegradable, but the end result is conservation. Water is saved. Energy is saved. Not to mention precious dollars. So go ahead, save the world. Use a pool cover. Better yet, use a liquid pool cover that will not put rolls of plastic into landfills when you are finished with it, need a prettier one, or just throw it out because it's too darn hard to use.

If you want more information on the products or the company, continue perusing this site. You can also visit the corporate version: www.liquidpoolcovers.com.

I am done for now, but I will get down and dirty with more information soon.
